Venture capital funds are still quite unknown in Slovakia. It will take a lot for the venture capital to become a standard tool of the financing of business plans. 

Slovenská sporiteľňa,a.s. in co-operation with National Agency for Development of Small and Medium Enterprises have set up Slovak Development Fund with the planned amount of assets of Sk 1 Billion. The aim of the fund is to support the business environment in Slovakia and at the same time to valorize invested funds. The main investor is National Agency for Development of Small and Medium Enterprises. The expected target investment return is estimated at 20 %.
