    August 15th, 2007 No comments

Enigmatec Corporation Limited, the award-winning leader in enterprise IT Process Automation (Run Book Automation or RBA) solutions, recently announced it has attracted $12.5 million in series C financing. The latest funding round included current investors Amadeus Capital Partners and Pentech Ventures, with additional participation from Herald Ventures and Kevin Lomax, formerly the executive Chairman of Misys, who also joins Enigmatecs board of directors as Executive Chairman.  Enigmatec will use the funds to continue expansion of its global sales force and to build out the capabilities of its IT process automation software products and solutions.  The additional funding brings the total raised by Enigmatec to $30 million.

We are excited to be a part of this exciting phase in Enigmatecs growth, said Taymour Ezzat of Herald Ventures. The demand for automation solutions to reduce the cost and complexity of managing large enterprise IT environments is exploding. Enigmatecs powerful technology platform, enterprise-class scalability and performance, and international presence have positioned them as a leader in this rapidly expanding market.  We are committed to Enigmatecs vision of delivering the automation solutions that will power the next generation data centre.

Automating IT management processes is a key objective for IT executives focused on driving down the costs and reducing the complexity of IT operations, said David Williams, Research VP at Gartner. Many tools provide aspects of IT operations automation; however, only RBA tools provide the ability to mix both automation and manual process steps, orchestrate IT operations process, provide process templates and integrate with a wide range of IT operations tools in support of the process.

Enigmatecs flagship automation platform, the Execution Management System (EMS), allows IT operators to automate, orchestrate, and integrate the multitude of processes and tools they use today to configure, support and allocate IT resources. Todays IT environments are changing rapidly, with new demands brought on by space and power concerns, the rapid uptake of virtualization technologies, and ever-increasing demands for higher service levels.  With Enigmatecs solutions, IT operations teams can eliminate the manual, error-prone IT management processes of the past, and benefit from automated procedures for IT resource management.  Enigmatecs global enterprise customers have deployed EMS to solve many IT challenges, including virtual environment management, user/desktop automation, change and configuration process automation, and high availability / disaster recovery.

Enigmatec has a unique technology architecture, a strong focus on enterprise-class solutions, and a proven record of delivering command and control to the enterprise data centre, said Kevin Lomax, who brings to the company over 20 years of expertise.  Mr Lomax was a founding investor and led the growth of Misys into one of the worlds largest and longest established software companies.  Misys is a leading international supplier of banking, treasury, capital markets and healthcare technology.  The market opportunity for run book automation is growing rapidly, and Enigmatec is positioned to be the leader in this exciting new technology field.  I am pleased to be joining the team at Enigmatec.
